COWS-computers on wheels

I have just finished researching mobile wireless computer labs. This is a really interesting trend that is being integrated into school systems. I think this technology is going to be very useful in the years to come.

One thing I did not research very much was mini-laptops. I wonder what advantages/disadvantages these mini-laptops would have over other laptops? I know they (can) cost less but I wonder how their configuation compares to other laptops? It may be worth looking into!!

Wireless Computers

I am curious to how much is involved in configuring wireless computers to the district's server? As I research wireless computers in the classroom, that is one issue mentioned to look into. What kind of needs are involved in this process?

Technology Plan Review

I am amazed at the lack of understanding and planning that has been put into my district's technology plan. It has not been updated in three years with misspellings and outdated information. I would think that type of stuff would be reviewed on a yearly basis. You would think administrators would try and follow plans they have made but this is just a stack of papers never looked at!! That is really aggrevating to me!!

Technology in schools

I am interested in a new program: Computers on wheels. I wonder how effective this is to student learning? What is the cost per student and how is the program managed? I plan on looking into this issue. I think it might be a great program for smaller schools where computer labs are outdated.

Title What?

I know our school uses Title (something) monies for stuff. What Titles are there from the government and what can they be used for? It gets all too confusing. In other words, what money comes from the goverment that can be used for technology in the schools?

Smart Boards for Science

I have my SmartBoard up and running this year and I'm not real familiar with its technology. I know just enough to get me by in other words. Does anyone have any ideas on how to intergrate it within my high school science classes? I use it for review games like Jeopardy and such.....any other ideas? Thanks.

I must admit that this is the first blog I have ever created. You may be wondering what my blog title means--well, it means we must be careful how we live this life because our Father is always watching. As administrators, teachers, role models, Christians.... others are watching our actions and learning from them. We must be careful what we do, say, see because our students will follow.
