COWS-computers on wheels

I have just finished researching mobile wireless computer labs. This is a really interesting trend that is being integrated into school systems. I think this technology is going to be very useful in the years to come.

One thing I did not research very much was mini-laptops. I wonder what advantages/disadvantages these mini-laptops would have over other laptops? I know they (can) cost less but I wonder how their configuation compares to other laptops? It may be worth looking into!!

Wireless Computers

I am curious to how much is involved in configuring wireless computers to the district's server? As I research wireless computers in the classroom, that is one issue mentioned to look into. What kind of needs are involved in this process?

Technology Plan Review

I am amazed at the lack of understanding and planning that has been put into my district's technology plan. It has not been updated in three years with misspellings and outdated information. I would think that type of stuff would be reviewed on a yearly basis. You would think administrators would try and follow plans they have made but this is just a stack of papers never looked at!! That is really aggrevating to me!!

Technology in schools

I am interested in a new program: Computers on wheels. I wonder how effective this is to student learning? What is the cost per student and how is the program managed? I plan on looking into this issue. I think it might be a great program for smaller schools where computer labs are outdated.
